ABOUT ME
I have been a licensed real estate professional for approximately 10 years – working in various roles as financial and real estate analysts for a regional real estate investment trust and a commercial real estate developer. In my latest and current role, I am a Realtor in both commercial and residential real estate, helping investors and regular buyers invest in Arizona.
Buying real estate in Arizona, typically a house, to live or invest is ultimately a form of investment. Why? Buyers save up money for a long time for down payment and will “invest” a sizable chunk of his family income on the monthly mortgage payments, taxes, and insurance. Houses are usually the biggest investment of a family.
Having helped clients invest in houses in Arizona over the years, I still felt my service was not quite complete because I lacked the other half of the knowledge to advise my clients’ long-term plan of their real estate purchase – the mortgage (or finance) side. I sought out to gain knowledge on the finance side of transactions by asking loan officers teach me the basics of residential mortgage. No loan officers ever gave me a satisfactory answer or were willing to teach me what I need to know about mortgage so that I could have a better conversation with my clients.
Someone has said, “Knowledge in not given, it is earned”
I decided to get licensed in mortgage and become an Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) (my NMLS ID is #2337148).
I am currently working as a Loan Officer for Absolute Mortgage & Lending, a direct lender from Dallas, TX.
Another reason I wanted to learn more about mortgage is by understanding the “two sides of the coin” – real estate and mortgage – I would be able to see my clients’ current situation better so that I could develop a holistic approach to help with their real estate investment plans.
This website was created to help me share knowledge and experience in mortgage industry to help people who are first time home buyers or first time investors. Its goal is to provide them with basic knowledge before they sit down with a mortgage or real estate professional and answer any questions that they might have but don’t know whom to ask.
The residential mortgage industry is continuously changing, with new guidelines and products being added and removed at the federal and private sector levels, respectively. And this website is not an exception. Besides sharing the compiled knowledge of the lending guidelines, we are striving to keep the users current with new programs and products that meet the lenders’ needs.
